Anyone know of an aftermarket product like Trek's rubber downtube armour?:

If not, does anyone think there would be a market for such a thing?

That looks like it would do the job nicely, il be taking the old tyres of off my downtubes now, most of my previous bikes have had fair size dents knocked into the bottom of the downtube, so ive been using old tyres for the last couple of years and they do look shite zip tied onto your pride n joy.
OP good shout on the thread, Cheers for the info grant.

As you know my frames are strong enough Tony! Its where n how you ride that causes the dents on the frame. So there.

That's gonna be messy when it's time to replace – what about the blue physio strapping tape one can purchase from Wilco or Tesco?

I think the old innertube wins my vote, bit heavy tho – used used Durex?

It's odd, my last two or three frames have all suffered rock bites near the bottom bracket within a week of being new. But never since. Could I rent one of those next time I get a new frame?
