I need to burn a track to CD but only own the vinyl version.

Apart from buying it again on iTunes, is there a safe, free piece of software I can use to do this?

    Many thanks in advance.

I’m sure there is but why would you want to. It’ll sound crap. Rip your vinyl to WAV, or buy it again for 99p or whatever.

If you already own it on iTunes why do you need to buy it again?
iTunes knows which tracks you’ve bought so load it again.

I own it on a long playing record, which is played on a gram-o-phone. 😀

There are many websites and browser addons to do this for you, but if it’s only one track that you can get on iTunes, just buy it. Better quality and so much easier than faffing with anything else.

Okay, okay, I’ll search for the Spanner wallet. 🙂

Seems the easiest way – do you put the coins in the disc drive tray or can I just send Apple a postal order?

Google “YouTube convertor” find the song on YouTube and convert it to mp3 file.

Do you have a phone with a microphone and voice recorder? You could record it from the gramophone speakers.

Do you have a phone …………

    Hoy hoy Darcy. 🙂

The mouthpiece is fixed to the wooden box on the wall and won’t reach the horn on the gram-o-phone 😐

And that bloody terrier keeps barking as well, ruins everything.

    It’s not on iTunes.

    Bum.

I’m trying to find ‘Warm Love’ by Van Morrison.
I ‘ve only got it on vinyl and I need to burn it to a CD.

It’s going on the CD we hand to the Registrar to be played at our wedding.
Needs to be handed in tomorrow.
Nothing like cutting it fine, eh?

We’ve lost the ‘Best of’ CD with it on.

    Arse.

I’m out of ideas, unless I do the YouTube thing.
Tesco don’t have it, so I can’t physically go and buy it tonight.

We could probably get a copy from the little music shop in Hebden first thing, but it’s not guaranteed.

    Any ideas?

    dd, you are a Saint.

    Format?

We normally use iTunes on a PC and I generally use MP3.

Any tips on the best way to get the MP3 from your email to the CD gratefully appreciated.
I can just save it to a file and copy and paste it can’t I?

    And rocketdog, thank you.

If I’m thinking anyone from Singletrack when walking down the aisle, I’ll call it off myself. 😀

If anyone needs the facility to get a track from youtoob, this is the one I’ve used several times:
    http://www.youtube-mp3.org
    Seems to do the trick.

    Gentlemen and Jamie,

    Thank you all very much.
    Crisis averted.

For Christ’s sake it’s only six tracks, how hard can it be?
So we sat down this morning with a few hundred CD’s and negotiations commenced.

War is seldom pretty, I won’t go into details.
    😀

    Once again, thank you.

For next time, I use keepvid.com

You can download in mp3, flv, avi etc straight from youtube.
