I have an 8 month old and a 4 year old,

Is a double trailer best or should I get a single and a bike seat ?

Worried the double will be a bit cumbersome ?

It will of course be wider and heavier but if they’re like my two they’ll both want in the trailer (20 months apart)and the insuring hassle that involved meant a double was the only choice!

Edit – just noticed the ages of yours. Maybe a single and seat does make sense – not sure if you’d need to use a car seat in the trailer for the wee one anyway – easier to put baby on the bike I’d say and the bigger one in the trailer…

Im having the same issue myself but with a 2 years old and a baby. I think it depends on how the older one likes to travel. If they love the trailer just keep it in there.

Only a slight tangent but…in my local town I’ve seen a chap on an orange Bakfiets (? spelling) with a 2 seat croozer behind….and then a carry freedon style trailer attached to be back of the croozer.

The whole train looks about 8 metres long and accelerates about as well as you’d expect 😯
