… in athletics. Tyson Gay, and now Asafa Powell.

Apparently a couple of field athletes and another trackie too.

“The paper reports that two of the runners who allegedly tested positive for the banned substances won medals at the Olympic Games in London.”

    Now five Jamaicans…

Pop the samples about of the fridge in 10 years time and retest them. Not one will be clean.

If athletics wants to be serious about drugs, there are going to be a LOT more positives!

So others sports have drug cheats

If you have an effective doping programme you catch dopers which makes your sport look dirty
If you do nothing and have an ineffective regime your sport looks clean

    ^^This^^

Gay had a sudden run of excellent form. Out of nowhere.

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The Olympic 100 metre final was an interesting collection of individuals, by all accounts.

But surely it’s not cheating if everyone is doing it…….

Exactly. It’s all part of the game.

athletics is once of the few sports that do actually test… When we see results like this in tennis or football then I’ll start to believe

I have just this minute finished reading Tyler Hamilton’s ‘The Secret Game’ and would say it is a must read for any TdF/sports fan. Unfortunately I think that many sports are probably still in the same place as cycling was in the 90s and 00s. Luckily it has improved, but as the 5thElefant suggests, the testers are so far behind the dopers that new things are always going to be used that can only be detected retrospectively.

    Also well worth a read…

… and if the Fuentes blood bag details ever get released…
