My self and my companions recently finished Tour Mont Blanc on bike. It was an amazing journey, with more awesome trails than I had expected. If anyone else is interested in a trip like that, (which you should be if you also are an bike-adventureholic) i compost a small jurnal/guide, enjoy.

This is on my bucket list. Hopefully I will get the time to do this one day 🙂
Can you tell me if you carried food for the week, ie were you self sufficient, or are there places to eat? I assume the refuges arent cater lol! But do they have cooking facilities + crockery/cutlery/washing equipment. I dont like to carry to much weight on my back, but might have to.
Also, do you have a GPX of the route please? And markings of each refuge?

    Thanks!

We normally had Dinner and breakfast at the refugees we stayed in. Many of the refugees also offer lunch packages, but we loaded up with chocolate and baguette with brie, when we pass through small towns and villages. It is also possible to eat lunch at the refugees you pass by. I attached our packing list to the web link. We where two that finished the trip, so we shared the weight and it really wasn’t that bad. Of course using 20 L backpacks helps.

@jedi did it again with some mates of his to celebrate one of the group’s 50th. Many good photos and comments on his Facebook page. We happened to see them roll into St Gervais. I also went up to Champex Lac and Val Feret but by car 😳

If you want to go on a real adventure. You should try pedal from Geneva to Nice over the alps. We did this in 2014. 640 km and 31000 altitude meters.

    This is us.

i was one of the guys who did it with Jedi and co, there were 8 of us, i pushed up 30% of the way but the others rarely pushed or carried, they were awesome, it was well worth it for the downs, the cameraderie and the sense of achievement. the scenery was amazing and the weather kind to us, except for a 3 hour push up in 40% heat. id love to try it again, but doubt i will

This looks excellent, and may be a bit more accessible than the other ‘Epic’ ride that I’ve thought about for a while now…
