Wait, what, Brexit was Putin’s idea?

No but instability and in fighting across Europe serves his purposes quite well, just like kicking off stuff in the US and paralysing them at a government level.

anything that sows division in a country or between countries serves his purpose

Putin is delighted with Brexit and with trump – even if he was not involved = tbh he is delighted folk think he may have been involved

He wants to weaken western democracy – would you say we are stronger now or weaker than say 5 years ago

He has either played a blinder or events have favoured him massively

No but it suits his expansionist goals and evidence now indicates that he assisted in its facilitation

Trump has kicked off “Native American Month” by referring to Senator Elizabeth Warren as “Pocahontas” (again)

Does seem the new art of war is social media rather than bothering with old school ways.

Stir it up then find willing backers leave.eu an feed them some money just to tip the balance.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m turning in a conspiracy theory nut when I read /spout this stuff but the cost to cause mischief is low and worth doing just to see what opportunities are thrown up to exploit in the future.

    and more dropping each day

Mr Ross is a powerful figure within the Trump administration, handpicked and described by the President as “a killer” for his tough approach to business.

The documents reveal that Mr Ross continues to hold a stake in a shipping company that has a multi-million-dollar deal with a Russian firm part-owned by Putin cronies currently subject to US sanctions.

The latest revelations about Mr Ross feed into concerns that the Trump administration is too closely linked with powerful Russian figures, and come a week after investigators laid charges against one-time Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his associate Rick Gates over alleged Russian involvement to skew the 2016 presidential election in favour of Mr Trump.
    http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-11-06/leaked-documents-link-trumps-commerce-secretary-to-russia/9075622

WASHINGTON — Federal investigators have gathered enough evidence to bring charges in their investigation of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser and his son as part of the probe into Russia’s intervention in the 2016 election, according to multiple sources familiar with the investigation.

Michael T. Flynn, who was fired after just 24 days on the job, was one of the first Trump associates to come under scrutiny in the federal probe now led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into possible collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign.

    ooooo, this is getting interesting…

Remember that business interest (Cadre) that Jared Kushner “forgot” to declare a couple of times on his WH disclosure forms?

Turns out that it received an 850K investment from Yuri Milner

I’m sure it will turn out to be nothing 🙄

    Also this little gem:

Cadre operates from the Puck Building in the Nolita section of Manhattan. The Kushners’ father, Charles, bought the building in the 1980s before being jailed for a string of crimes including 18 counts of tax evasion

and once again he shows his lack of knowledge and basic stupidity

Trump also took aim at Japanese carmakers in Tokyo on Monday.

“Try building your cars in the United States instead of shipping them over. That’s not too much to ask,” the US president said at the briefing, adding, “is that rude to ask”?

But data from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, a non-profit trade group, shows that a large proportion of its cars are built in the US.

In 2016, three-quarters of Japanese branded cars sold in the US were manufactured in North America, it said.

Kushners dad was jailed by Chris Christie, which is allegedly why Christie never made it to the White House despite having been loyal to trump in the election.

It’s hard to feel too sorry for Chris Christie though. If anything, knifing Christie is one of the few positive achievements of the Trump presidency so far.

Had the orange fuknugget commented n his advisors ties to Russian investors yet?

Also some interesting developments re Papadopoulos, he & sessions & other members of Trump’s national security team met at least 2 more times.
Papadopoulos met Greek president & Defence minister on behalf of trump, same week that Putin was visiting Greek Defence minister.
A few days later Trump changed GOPs official stance on Ukraine & Russia to drop further sanctions.

    Trump Jr’s ****

A Russian lawyer who met with President Donald Trump’s oldest son last year says he indicated that a law targeting Russia could be re-examined if his father won the election and asked her for written evidence that illegal proceeds went to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Not really, I think they were both likely blues, it was more a referendum on the Democrats in some ways that they didn’t stuff it up. The fact the rep candidate on one stepped away from Trump and lost is interesting to a point.
He does have much bigger problems looming, what will Flynn do to protect his son?

Trump’s still v Popular with his base, imho the only way for sure is that it’ll be Meuller that ends him

Speaking of which I loved campaign chair Corey Lewandowski saying that Carter Paige’s testimony had ‘refreshed his memory’ about trips to Russia

Also very nice to see a Transgender governor win against an openly homophobic* republican incumbent

As people keep saying, though the size of the base is actually small. Bottoming out at about 37% in the approval shows that. More muller stuff may shift it a bit.

And from Alabama news that Trump’s mate (judge) roy moore is accused of sex with under age girl – back in the 70s/80s – when she was 14(?).
The defence is already out there – it was years ago, things were different then.
What would the judge say or do of it was his 14 year old daughter on the receiving end from a bloke who was decades older?

On a different subject, an un-named trump associate has apparently said that trump wants to revoke the tax exempt status of the ‘church of scientology’. That will cost him the thetan vote.

Nice little conversation between Wikileaks and little Donnie Jr: (WAPO)

“Hey Donald, great to see you and your dad talking about our publications,” WikiLeaks wrote. “Strongly suggest your dad tweets this link if he mentions us.” The message included a link to search documents that had been hacked from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

Trump Jr. did not answer. Fifteen minutes later, his father tweeted to his millions of followers: “Very little pick-up by the dishonest media of incredible information provided by WikiLeaks. So dishonest! Rigged system!”

Two days later, Trump Jr. tweeted the link to his followers, writing, “For those who have the time to read about all the corruption and hypocrisy all the @wikileaks emails are right here: http://wlsearch.tk/.”

That’s Wikileaks, described as a ‘Hostile Intelligence Service’ by the Trump-appointed CIA director Mike Pompeo.

He now says he backs his intelligence services who say Russia tried to influence the election. So, does that mean that the results can’t stand? What does international and American law state?
