Dolan etape is £399 frame and forks. Same as the hercules sl but with an aluminium steerer.

Intended as my first carbon Road frame after lots of alloy.

It seems very similar geometry to the Planet x pro carbon. But cheaper.
Any reason not to go for the Dolan? ?

    Anyone got one?

I have the planet x. Its not a bad bike, bit flexy however and no looker. It does build into a light bike however. I threw some lightish wheels on mine and it comes in at under 17lb

If you decide to go with the Planet x I have a set of the forks (in red) that have been used once that I’m trying to get rid of!

I have a Hercules SL and is a fine ride. Nice and stiff in the right places and with very slim seatstays very comfy too. I use small rims ( Shimano RS81) rather than deep ones which give it a good turn of speed. Built up with pedals, computer, bottle cages and DI2 Ultegra was 7.5 kg. Any bad points? Watch your shoes touching the rear of the chainstays but that is the only gripe really on a great bike frame.
