Just come into some inheritance and thinking through some options. Considered all the isa/mortgage/c&h options and are just wondering about a holiday home as something better. Can’t afford much but it’s enough for a log cabin on a park. Current thinking is we could let it out for peak season and the weekend here and there and still be able to use it ourselves. Its in a good biking area and nice enough in low season. Anyone do something similar? Is it realistic to expect some income or is it a struggle to cover costs? TBH an income would be great but just having a bolt hole would be nice. Numbers don’t seem too bad on the back of an envelope but am I’m missing a load of hidden costs?
