I just spit on it and give it a good polish once in a while

I’ll sometimes use a damp cloth on it to take most of the mud off it if it’s been a particularly muddy ride, and I’ll take the pads out and clean them a few weeks after they’ve started to smell.

I have a beaker for the purpose.

I use a coarse washing up sponge and a grimmace.

I find taking it outside and knocking it against a lamppost really helps

Very rarely it has a rather attractive patina and bears the scars of frequent intense use. I particularly like the faded Gopro sticker

I tend to unlock it and air it out on the table in the lounge but the other half says it takes too much space.

umm, just finish riding and don’t take it off before getting into the shower; they wash perfectly with shampoo, afterall, most of the dirt is greasy hair.
