i mentioned to my sister that we stopped using gel and started using soap
and she said
she is doing the same
(we are exciting in our family)

which made me think that

we both thought we’d come up with this idea
maybe we have just been convinced by the same

Soap can contain a lot of bacteria – but only the ones that get from your body onto the bar. especially so if you have a bar that has dried out and cracks. This is why we no longer use bars of soap in hospitals for handwashing.

Personally I use simple soap only at home. Shampoo occasionally for my hair.

Not at all, I very nearly asked whether she had some disinfectant for the toilet bleach bottle. But didn’t want to push my luck.

Spent six months working in a soap factory in my youth. As a result of that I won’t use the stuff. Basically caustic soda and animal fat with some perfume and colour added. Shower gel and hand wash all the way for me. Probably just as bad, but no first hand experience of making them though.
