  • Do tubless ready tyres have different beads to non-tubless?

I installed a tubless ready Hans Dampf Evo onto DT Swiss Sun Ringle Rim last night with a tube. Went into the garage this morning and on one side of the tyre the bead had popped off the rim and the inner tube was hanging out , still inflated. Hopefully I just installed the tyre incorrectly and the tube has forced the bead over the rim, but got me thinking if there is a difference in the bead design on tubless ready tyres that need a compatible rim? I had only inflated the tyre to about 35psi, so not particularly high pressure. I’m not sure what makes one tyre tubless ready and on other not. Never had an issue with Schwalbe tyres before on these rims, or installing tyres incorrectly. Cheers.

no idea, but schwable rr ust have a lot of rubber around the bead which makes a much better seal than other tyres I’ve used.
