    Id guess some kind of dry / wax type lube

    lube makes things work better. Metal on metal is rarely a good idea.

    Aye, that’s my thinking so far – enough to keep it sweet, but not to pick up dust and crap

    Just a ptfe based dry lube. Unless you run it on the road in .the rain

    The lube that new chains are supplied with will last for ages on a track bike.

    It won’t be on the road or outside. Will go with the factory chain lube for now and see how it goes, cheers.
