    Only several of mine are now snapping, with sticks or me truing the wheel.
    I guess I could swop them all over to a new set.

    Yes, alloy ones will fatigue. Brass one’s should last longer. Change whole lot at once and make sure new ones are properly bedded in and wheel stress relieved, that should help.
