Just wondering…My Stealth Jacket is into it’s 3rd winter and gets washed most weeks, as end up totally covered in mud and sweat 😛

It goes in a 30 deg gentle wash with rest of the kit, but I do suspect it’s not quite the same as it was, warmth wise…

It could just be me getting old and soft though !

My Gore Windstopper is 3 years old and still feels nice and cosy 🙂

Never noticed any change in any of the 4 softshells I regularly wear.

    IME, humans do, softshells dont!

Fleecy-lined ones can, plastic fleece tends to lose its bulk over time.

My Haglofs one is still OK, but was never that cosy to start with.

I reckon they probably can, the fleecey ones anyway. Fleece that’s had a hammering can get a bit sort of flat and matted which would mean it doesn’t trap as much air.

If it’s just an unlined shell then it shouldn’t make any difference.

I guess it’s just me getting soft then !
