I’ve a new pair of M089’s and they are a teeny bit tight across the widest part of my foot and at the top strap. I can still do them up and I’ve had 4 pairs of Shimano shoes in the past without problems, can anyone say if they ease off? I can’t remember if they did before.

Mine did. Took a couple of days of riding every day.

M089s come in a wide option – sounds like you could do with them.

Cheers all, I bought the shoes from Halfords and they don’t stock the wide variation. Curiously they list 42’s as 7’s whereas I’d always sized them as a UK 8. So they are going back and I’ve plumped for a pair of Giro Privateers instead.
