do maxxis tyres come up smaller than other brands of tyres?

just compared my merida trail with a 2.35 maxxis and the maxxis looks smaller than my 2.25 merida tyre?

"older" Maxxis come up small, "newer" ones come up big… If that makes sense!

That is to say a 2.25" Advantage is probably as big, if not bigger than a 2.35" High Roller. Certainly a 2.4" Advantage is massive, bigger than a 2.5" High Roller even.

Nick – I have the super tacky 2.35 minion. I think they come up pretty normal, a toucher bigger than my 2.25 panaracers – so about right.

I have both 60a and 42a minion f and r tyres on two different full sus bikes, get the 42a if you can, very good in corners but a total git on tarmac

Ive just ordered a 2.35 High Roller semi slick for summer!!! Should be good.
