Yesterday I had 2 different consultants sales people round to quote for a new alarm system, I was thinking that the stuff they sold would be good but it was just cheap looking wireless systems and they don’t even chase the power cable for the unit into the wall! I Therefore have decided to go down the DIY route a buy a PowerMax Express with GSM dialler and a few other options. Before I hit the buy button does anyone have an experience of installing and using these systems?
    Cheers

Yep I have one, it’s about 6-7yrs old it’s been pretty reliable. Easy ish to set up as you have a basic understanding of what you want to protect, had a few pir issues. But door/window contact sensors have been faultless, handy to have a few spare lithium batteries although it does give you about a months notice
    Overall I’d buy again
