Anyone made some trail shoes by cutting grooves into the soles of old road shoes, creating a chunky/gripy sole?

    I never use remoulds.

Seriously, have resoled shoes with a studded tread once the roady style tread has worn.

You can send your old road shoes off to have a trail sole fitted. I shoe goo’d a mtb tire tread to my sons worn out trainer.

These folk always made a good job of resoling climbing shoes, but you’re not far off the price of some bargain bucket new shoes in some ways…
