What’s the best way of getting the pane out?

Chip the old putty away first and then knock out in one/two pieces…

    or…

tape both sides and smash it out, chipping out left over glass and putty afterwards?

cover it in tape to stop it going everywhere for starters

sticky back plastic on both sides?

once saw someone put wooden boards up on both sides, drilled and bolted through each corner, scraped off the putty, then kicked the whole lot out!

Golden syrup smeared on it and a piece of paper – then smash it

fat lot of good you lot are.

    There’s glass everywhere 🙂

At least I have found a new “most hated stubborn thing in the world”, a position formally occupied by vacuum cleaner hoses and TJ, it’s now “old putty”.

b’stard stuff wont come away from the wood without bringing bits of the door with it! Grrrr.

Stoner – the golden syrup thing works! allegedly its the way of silently breaking a pane of glass to break into houses without cutting yourself. Did you try my advice? No

See – you should listen to the TJ more often
