I've built up an old Lumicycle can with a triple LED from Cutter/Cree. Works great as a commuter and trail light, with nice 'floody' beam. My question is – what lamps should I go for if I wanted to build my other Lumi can up as more of a 'spotty' beamed light? The same kit with a narrow beam? or are there better options now? I'm no electrical engineer and don't keep up with the seemingly fast moving technology, so apologies for numptiness. Budget £30ish, spot beam, to fit in Lumi halogen can.
    Thanks awfully gents….?

£30? Gonna struggle. You can get tight beam optics, depending which LED you have you might get brighter ones. You can get 4 led kits as well

Thought the last kit was ~£27. Must be mis remembering, or they had a sale on?

Don't Cutter do a very basic triple kit with a more basic controller at a budget price. One of those with a spot optic, but the prices have effectively gone up with the exchange rate.

Er, it's about 26 quid plus postage etc. This thing:
