Any links to piccies please.
No details just yet. just a feeler and will be working on it over the weekend .
might get a few piccies tonight
John Climber is running the first proto on his helmet .
Possibly. Might convert my Lupine stuff if the price is good, wiring is getting old.
I maybe, depending on price
I might be too
+1 for me
Me too for the 900 one, depending on price....
+1 for both. Cheers Trout.
Troutie, sounds like a good plan. Particularly interested in a nice little single. Happy to test up here....
Silly idea......900 kit ability to be fitted into a Lumi halogen housing?
FYI, I have a lumi HID can too....with a choice of 2 'robust' machined heatsinks. Expect a parcel soon....

I'm looking for something that will fit into a Cateye stadium housing. Anyone got anything ?
sound spot on Troutie, especially as benz says if you can get them as 35mm kits that will be great.
BTW did you get my mail form this morning ref XRE/XPG's and optics.

Dave
Ooh yes. How much?
+1 for both...
Dave - I still need to slip those HID sinks in the post...I do it this weekend....
+1
Well if your going to have my 'hat light'
This sounds like a plan..
Guess what.yes depending on price
I'd be seriously interested in the 1800 lumen kit.
Any chance of an even bigger kit? Not that I'd ever need it, but it would open up the ability to use a helmet cam at night!
What kind of power would it need? Would the 8V magicshine batteryw ork?
Cheers Benz
presume this includes driver, LED(s), optic?
would have a better idea if you can provide:
'less than' price.
input voltage range.
but in principle, as it costs me nothing to say 'yes', yes!
Oh go on then, I'm interested.
This is what they will most likely look like

they will be workable from the off but the builder may want to do some finishing work IE rounding off the corners and stuff like that .
the build will be pretty easy if you can solder and drill holes with a certain degree of accuracy .
of course there will be full instructions
ball park figures are
single diy light 900 lumens £75/£80
double a tad more
input voltages
single will run from 1 LiIon or multiples in parallel
3.7 volts
double will need a 7.4 volt pack
or with a more expensive driver the double can use any voltage up to 20v but no lower than 7.4 v
all drivers will have programmable modes at the click of the button
Chris
I guess i'm away down your priorities at the moment, but i need to get the driver sorted one way or the order, my mate Gaz is without a light until we can sort something for him.
hope to here from you soon.
Paul
+1 for single

good to see plenty of light builders stepping up to "the plate".
This may help too.

Trout strikes again
I really enjoyed building the CK/Trout light so would definately be interested in both of these. Couple of quick questions, is the housing just flat or grooved and do you have any beam shots?

the housing will be grooved it needs to be for the extra cooling if run at full throttle .
more pics to follow
beam shots will be along soon
