How far for you?
My 14 non-motorway-miles journey could soon turn into 27 mostly motorway miles…by choice…just wondered what people do on average.

1/8 mile.

I used to work at home. Then it was 9 miles. Now it’s less than 2.

30 mostly motorway miles each way.

30 mile each way, all on dual carriageway. Takes between thirty mins and forty depending on traffic.

46 miles. Single, dual, motorway and ring roads

3.3 miles

8.5 miles, 95% country roads

35 miles each way, mainly A roads. 6music on the DAB, coffee in the cup holder and toast on the dash.

24 duel and motorway 35 – 40 mins average

7 miles for me. ½ a mile for the Mrs.

Until a few weeks ago, was doing 73 miles each way. Now work 280 miles from home but only do it at the start and the end of each week.

5 miles.

20 min ride or a 40 min run.

2 miles

75 miles each way as a minimum, more if I’m out and about. A lot different to the 50m walk I had six months ago.

Cruise control and long audiobooks ftw.

Short route is just shy of 3 miles, country road and busy B road.

The route I take (on bike) is 5 miles and all country roads.

7m from the kettle, 2 3 from the bed (home office)
550km to the proper office (once every 6-8 weeks)
after that we are talking 2/3 flights for most jobs

back in the UK it was 30 miles/90 mins around manchester or 30 miles 35-40 mins in Cumbria

I work from home mostly but go to London one day a week, sometimes two.
That entails a 13 miles on the scooter, 120 miles on the train (2hrs) and then another 3 miles on the bike I keep at Paddington.

120 M1 miles each way. Usually 3 times a week. Work from home the other days.

30 miles each way

I use to do 45-50 miles into West London, took just less than an hour on the m/c whatever the time and between 1 and 2 hours in the car, depending on time. Public transport took longer.

I now cover 6 miles in 9 minutes 🙂

Used to be 45 miles+ each way.way.
Now a mile at most unless I choose to ride a circuit. 😀

30 miles. Usually by train (cycle to/from the station). March to October I ride at least one direction 2 or 3 times a week.

why the interest?
7 miles for me.

3.5 miles – 3.25 of it miles on bridleways

Up the hill and turn left. Under a minute.

1 mile. It’s nice to walk to work but I miss sitting in the car and listening to the radio to be honest

I used to do a 40-50 minute drive. Dropping to a 10 min cycle was a massive breath of fresh air. Now work from home which is even better. You’d have to drag me kicking and screaming to a 27 mile journey.

30 miles, mainly motorway, about 45mins ‘cos I drive like Miss Daisy’s chauffeur to save diesel, (and what’s the rush?, I’m only going to work 😀 )

Or 15 drive and 12.5 ride a couple of times a week. Brilliant.

This week, about 3 urban miles, occasionally 17, often working from home, sometimes working on it.

12 miles, 30 mins drive in morn, 45-60 evening 🙁

28 miles each way, one day a week.

3 miles to 1st job 3 days a week, 10 miles to 2nd job 3days a week.

29 miles each way if I go to the office. 90 miles each way when I go to see the customer, usually about once a week.

75 min commute, 1 mile walk, 25 mile train ride, tube plus another 1/2 mile walk

Did 90-100 mins each way for a while, far too long.
