I’ve scored a contract on site for 3 months, 100 miles from home and thinking of getting an economicalish, nice to drive car to keep for a few months and then sack off/replace the wife’s clio.

bmw 320d estate is looking kind of good and can get an old one with ~ 140k on a 53 plate. what other motors would be handy, can’t face the drive every day in the van 😉

Why go for something so new for just 3 months I’ve been knocking around for over 2 years in a P reg A4 estate – £700 – perfect car with a bike sized boot 🙂

You could try going to some local dealerships and ask if they’ve anything in as a trade in that they may want to shift quick and cheap. Saves them the trouble of passing the car on via auctions or whatever other means and they get a quick turnover.
