    Hi

I am running xtr wheels with hope floating discs in rock shox sid world cup forks
The disc is attached to the wheel with a shimano splined adaptor

My problem is that the disc is so close to the fork leg that it is touching, in fact if I tighten the wheel skewer really tight the disc fouls the fork leg completely

    Anyone had this problem?

Do the adaptors holding the disc to the wheel come in different spacings, in which case i just get a narrower adaptor

    Help please

    Thanks

    Andy

I think you'll want a proper splined rotor. When you use an adapter the disk sits outside the splines with a proper splined rotor it sits over them.

I've had problems in the past fitting 6-bolt rotors to splined wheels, it never seems to sit quite right. I would hunt down a set of splined off the classifieds here and see how that goes.

Apart from anything else the adapter always seems like an 'ugly' solution to me.

    Hope this helps,

Any way you could bolt the disc to the inboard side of the adaptor?
