Has anyone found a pannier that fits on the Genesis Altitude 10? We’ve tried a Topeak Super Tourist DX Disc which came off a previous bike, but the large square bits clash with the actual bike frame – there’s hardly any space around the threaded hole for the pannier to touch. Could use some sort of nylon spacer but it would have to be about 12mm long and would push the rack out even further so would rather not, if there’s another option. Thanks in advance!

Expensive option might be that Thule thing that just sits on the stays without using the mounting points .. or a beam rack, but I don’t really trust them..

The following might be worth a look.

    The Tubus Disco

    Old man mountain sherpa

have used the old man mountain sherpa and it works quite well but having it supported on the skewer makes puncture a bit fiddly but copeable.

Thanks both. The OMM is a bit expensive but might look into the Tubus option.

Beam racks are out, I don’t trust them either and especially not for a pair of heavy-ish bags. The Thule system (Pack n Pedal) looks quite interesting, but would need the side panels – that means the whole lot would be about £120.

The Thule rack’s rated for up to 25KG offroad, they’re very solid if fitted properly.

You can also put them on the front forks if you want.
