I’ve got a set of Hayes CX-5 disc brakes on my new (first) road bike and I’m looking to get new brake levers (drop bars). I’m thinking about the Cane Creek SCR5 but there seems to be different versions for short/long pull, v-brake/canti – can some kind soul tell me what the difference is and which version I need? Cheers!

    Almost certainly canti.
    Tis for shimano/avid road/CX discs.

Cool, so any canti designed brake lever should work with a road/CX disc brake? Whereas v-brake one would be for mountain bike mechanical discs?

    Correct.

easy check is the length of the lever arm on the calliper. mtb ones are very noticeably longer. look at a few pics online.

also, I believe the cane creek levers are identical to the tektro rl520.
never mind, you want road levers anyway…
