not BT Vision, endless problems and limited amount of films updated infrequently.

Sky – past experience says "adverts every 4 minutes lasting 8 minutes and much louder than the programmes".

Virgin – cable, no good to me.

what do you suggest, was thinking about a humax tuner and a subscription to lovefilm, good or bad idea?

i will do you a deal on a freesat reciever, if you choose to go that way.

I have a humax 9150T, just bought it for £126. Twin tuners and a wild record finger means I have more recorded stuff than I can actually watch now, and the handy "find" feature means I find all sorts of films I wouldn't normally even know were on! Still, doesn't have new stuff so I still use the cinema and rent DVDs at times. Looked at the freesat stuff and since I dont have HD TV and the channel listing seems to be smaller I couldn't be bothered with it, especially not as the recorders seem to be much more expensive.
