    Mtb saddles have more Gnarliness.
Apart from that, graphics and attitude are the only other differences.
    Oh, and maybe longevity.

I use the same saddles on my road and mtbs, as do my mates. (flite FWIW)

None. I use the same saddles on all my bikes.

    Selle Italia SLRs.

tried a charge spoon on my road/work bike – had numb plums pretty quickly! it was also too wide across the centre section as the road posture is more tipped forward.

Flite for the win. 2x new style, 1x old style, but an SLR on my race (mtb).

Depends how you sit on a road bike and how you sit on a road bike. Like others I have SLR on everything. Apart from my TT bike that is, which still has a Flite, but I'd be tempted to put something on a bit softer in the nose (they now do specific TT saddles) if I actually rode it in anything more than club 10s nowadays. Of course if you sit more upright on an MTB (or do more gnarly stuff dude) you might appreciate something a bit different.

I have to admit I'm somewhat surprised how popular SLRs are even in this limited self-selecting survey – I didn't realise so many had discovered how great they are!
