Have just purchased a bike with a Fox Dhx 5.0 air shock.
Looking on the Internet some sites say to set the sag at 33% and some at 25%.

Has anyone got any experience on setting one of the up and if so what settings would they recommend ?

    Thanks in anticipation

it’s down to personal preference, set it at what YOU prefer.
Bear in mind, if you run too much you may bottom the shock out far too easily and inversely too ittle sag and you may never achieve full travel

Ride a route and take a shock pump with you adjust the volume as you go trying out different settings along with boost valve pressure.

And while you are playing with the pressures/sag twiddle the bottom out knob as well. 😆

the theory with the dhx air is that you can set it to behave how you want eg run more sag but be more progressive to avoid bottom out or run it firm but more linear.

in reality it can take a lot of twiddling to get the best from it but persevere, it really suits some bikes.

Oh and twiddle the PP as well.

It is a complex little beast. You can end up playing with the air volume as well.

    This is quite good:
