was looking at the Gore alp-x initially but then read all the good stuff about the Event fabric and noticed wiggle do a reasonably price event jacket (the Wickham one).

So if event is considered more breathable than the gore paclite stuff is there any reason to go for the gore alp-x over the wigggle one? Build quility etc?

BTW its for a spring/summer/autumn jacket that i can easily pack away in the camelback so after something not too bulky or warm.

hi, i've got an Alp-x and its great, small enough packed up to force in your camelback and forget! thin enough to use all year round, you can always put an extra layer underneath in the winter! I have not personally had anything good made with e-vent personaly, maybe i'm just unlucky! The Gore is pricey though!

While it's nice to wear I wouldn't say eVent is really robust enough to last a long time biking.
