    I recently (oct) replaced a middle ring on my XT 760 Chainset with a Deore chainring on the advice of the STW massive. Great move – cheaper and longer lasting!

    I’m about to do the same with the little ring. Are there any known issues with this?

    nope, other than your worn chain may have issues with it, and shorten it life early…. but at that price, who cares?

    Yup; you’ll need to file/grind/Dremmel it to fit as it’ll otherwise fail to fit round the Hollowtech2 BB. Takes five minutes!

    Since Deore went HT11 the latest ones will fit without grinding too.
