Do any of these weekly treatment type ones work? Or are they like cementing your armpits with bad chemicals? Just looking for a better solution than tons of the standard ones that stain up your shirts in no time

I read somewhere that deoderants were bad for your hormones and negatively effect the production of testosterone. So now I avoid them and bask in the wonder of my own musk.

Use them the night before, not in the morning, and your shirts won’t go yellow.

Persprirex works for me. Been using it for years now, hope it does not kill me, but just waiting for child number 2 so it has not killed my soldiers.

what the hell’s a weekly treatment deoderant? Do people that use them not shower? ❓

    I can sweat buckets.

Formerly I used Michum, which was excellent, but leaves a fine powder everywhere when it dries. Now I use Dove and it is as good as the Michum without any armpit dandruf. It is worth trying if you haven’t already.

More to it than the potency of your jizz.

Use roll on and let it dry before you put your shirt on. I use the Sanex stuff straight after my morning shower and that seems to stop me smelling, if let to dry (5 mins or so) it also doesn’t stain shirts.

Driclor changed my life, I only put it on about every 4 weeks and it keeps me dry as a bone.

They can sting when you first use them, but this eases with use. Best applied at night and washed off in the shower the following morning.

I have been looking for natural variants, ones without all the chemicals.

have not used these guys, but the ‘specialist’ they ask about deodorants is called Dr Dingle. Made me chuckle.

Are you talking about deodorants or anti-perspirants? Two very different things.

Sage is a very effective and natural antiperspirant.

doctor gave me odoban ages ago and you put it on the night before then wash off in shower, use daily for a week or two then just once or twice a week after and it works a treat.

    can get it on amazon

Like cougar said, deods and anti perspirants are different. I am not a fan of antiperspirant and most deods just mask the smell for a short while. I am however a big fan of pitrok. It kills the stuff that causes the smell (or something like that). Won’t stop you sweating but does stop you smelling. Works a treat for me anyway.

Whatever chemical that stops you sweating is absorbed overnight, so showering in the morning does no harm. So says the label, anyway. I don’t pay for my shirts, so I put it on in the morning…

Thought Lynx is the stuff you want for strong and overpowering. At least if you’re 13 😉

    Antiperspirants though – 48hr ones. Really? !

I’ve been using this for years, and have had neither staining problems nor BO issues. Strangely, however, it seems to have garnered little market share here in the UK.

I went through a couple of sweaty patches when I was younger and worrying about it made it worse. I also tried Driclor (available at the chemist as a roll on) and put it on at night. Just as above, it stopped it all instantly, I became more confident and after a few applications I’ve not had to use it for years! Great product!

fair enough tbh I don’t have issues with over sweating, so was really just surprised at some of the concepts mentioned!

I stopped using anti-perspirants a few years ago after I read some very disturbing studies about aluminium hydrochloride and its links to dementia (Alzheimer’s) and cancer. You may think it is your grandfather’s stuff, but I now use Old Spice deodorant and it has been working well for me. No staining or stinking.

I’ve also tried natural rock salt antiperspirant that my wife got and it worked for a bit but then it was like my body simply rejected it and i sweat and stank anyway.

another thing… shave your pits. goes a loooooong way in eliminating the bacteria that actually causes the odour.

After having some problems with infections in the cracked skin of my psoriasis, I got prescribed this to use in the shower:

Has had a remarkable effect on stinky armpits too.

I thought the stuff about Alzheimer’s/cancer etc was all internet conspiracy theory/ chain emails/ social media guff.

I’m sure I saw it all debunked somewhere ? Webmd maybe.

    I’d have thought so.

+1 to this. I started doing it on holiday in Florida (cos. y’know, it was a bit warm) and it made a massive difference.

Driclor. Horrendously painful when first used! But it absolutely works. Now only need to use it once every few months with no discomfort. One tiny roll on lasts years.

Going about stinking has a certain charm, it guarantees personal space on the tube for a start…
