how much does your dentist charge?

    Mine

    £34 for a 10min check up
    £110 for a filling
    £560 for a crown
    £55 hygenist

Seems to have gone very pricey or am I just out of date? do i need to find another dentist?

    £16 for a 10 min checkup – that's all I've ever had. NHS Dentist.

Seems a little bit higher than mine, but not much really.

However, it's not really the sort of thing you can DIY is it? So they do have you by the proverbials in all honesty.

When the revolution comes, dentists will not be waiting long for their turn against the wall. And while they do, there will be plenty of 2003 copies of Vogue for them to leaf through.

No mags at my NHS dentist – that's probably why it's half the price 🙂

NHS charges seem OK to me; paying £45.60 for check up and some work.

I went for the 1st time in 24 years last week – was asked how long since my last visit and said '10 years or so' which got my a telling off. Got to go back today for 2 small fillings – never had any work done before. Could have been worse….

Ignoring the 'teeth' stuff as that should depend on NHS vs Private – plus location/margin etc.

Our Hygenist is about £40 for 30 mins – so yes, yours looks dear.

My hygienist makes her charges up on the spot, S'ok though she pushes against my arm with her chest whilst cleaning my teeth.

I've got really really clean teeth

its private and in the guildford area, work seems fine (especially as i am terrified of dentists) so as i'm happy with that maybe i should just cough up!

A dentist to me they earn more than GPs; she had been a dentist but re-trained curiously.
