Dammit, we used to take our Land Rover to one along Accrington Road; the bloke’s name was Albert. They were good but I can’t find them on the map. They did a lot of van repairs.

Bartram Land Rovers in Victoria Street, next to the canal in Clayton-le-Moors is owned by a Rover specialist named John who is also a Porsche fanatic and cyclist. He may not be able to help you but he might know someone who can.

Acre Street garage just off Briercliffe Road near Duke Bar, 2 great blokes who I trust and would recomend to anyone. My dad is an ex mechanic and won’t use anyone else, if they have to change anything they show you the failed part and explain what happened although I don’t understand any of it. It’s not big or fancy but they are good at what they do
