Eventually the Gillsburg Volunteer Fire Department arrived and assured the occupants that the men were survivors of a plane crash.[4] Varying accounts have the farmer’s son either firing a warning shot into the air or actually shooting Pyle in the shoulder with an air rifle.[5]

I have to second the Nirvana entry especially after that shower of shite with Paul Mccartney,their DEAD to me now!

Some blokes I know (members of Chicago Blues Band who were touring with Lynrd Skynrd at the time) were supposed to be on the plane but were bumped off and told to take a scheduled flight instead.

They were a bit unhappy at the time…

The tour was Lynrd Skynrd’s “Survivor” tour too.
