Happy to ride up stuff as well as down looking for some good singletrack ideally with a bit of a natural feel.

Hi quickest centre to get to is Cwmcarn. If you want natural, the gap trail at Tallybont. For the full trail centre go for Afan.

A few years' back was riding the Doothie (sp?) valley by 10am, although was an early start from Guildford!

A bunch of mates and myself do a day trips to Afan from Surrey, we do them on a Saturday as there is less traffic on the roads coming back.
Leave at 6.30 to 7am riding at the latest by 11, we normally get to ride 2 of the trails then home by 8pm

should take you around 4 hrs to Afan and 3.20 to Cwm Carn, I'd definitely head to Afan myself and do the W2 and maybe the Skyline descent.
