TJ wouldn't a real democracy require a voting system that resulted in Parliament actually reflecting the views of its people?

So it's the "system" rather than the party which you don't like ?

And well yes, it's true, New Labour have done very little to change the British Parliamentary system since they came to power.

But to be fair, the Tories have been in power for the most amount of the time by far, since Labour first gave everyone the right to vote.

So I guess most of the criticism should be directed at the Tories. Specially as I understand, they have no plans to change the British Parliamentary system when they come to power in May.

but the official secrets act is used to cover up loads of bollox like ufo sightings etc isnt it?

Indeed. The Official Secrets Act is used far more to keep things from the British public than it is to protect 'secrets' that might be of use to our supposed 'enemies'

b r – thanks for the link on Dunblane – had forgotten about that and it kicked off at the time, before it was swept under the carpet.
