  • Dating Shimano Deore/DeoreLX/Deore XT Crank Model Numbers?

Does anyone know of an online resource showing which model numbers (e.g. M521, M530) relate to which years? I’m only interested in the Octalink years, and already have some data for LX and XT, but little on Deore.

Thanks for that, already aware of that site, unfortunately they don’t seem to cover Deore or Deore LX. 🙁

Shimano tech docs show the years, or at least they did. Is this a one off ‘wanting to know the age of something’, or are you trying to catalogue them?

    Check this site…

I can help more if you have a particular model in mind as I have some old Shimano Catalogs going back to 2002.

I came in here expecting half-arsed puns on “dating models”.

    I was dissapoint.

OK, sorry foe the late reply chaps…

I’d like to know the model number of Deore (not LX /XT/XTR) cranksets for the years 2000 – 2004 inclusive, I think I have all the other.
