where is the descent in your 2nd/ 5th photos? Is that the Widowmaker – have you got a grid ref?

They're both towards the South-West end of Groundhog Day.

Not done that loop for several years – I remember the start being a bit of a struggle, clearly a reflection on my ability! The weather has conspired against us – having knocked myself out on Dartmoor on a previous icy outing, I'm wimping out this time – will try again next Monday. Thanks for the info – cracking pictures.
