Much as I love old techno, it does evoke memories of a greatly-loved ex-girlfriend (who went on to help run the renowned Automatik night at the Rex Club in Paris). But then it’s like disco music, the best stuff should make you feel rather sad… 😀

    More faves:

    Red Planet

Vapourspace (heard this on John Peel one night, whilst doing my homework… makes me feel old…)

    Octave One

i came to techno late after an early career as a trance head/crasher kid. it’s the wife’s fault, she shared a flat with some of the people who started house of god in birmingham

i favour the Trance Nation series for general road riding/gym work. failing that the ipod is just on shuffle

Sad as it sounds, but the completest in me would force me to delete the 4gigs rather than not know what i was listening to.

    Sad i know 😉

Jamie – i’m a bit like that, every other thing on my itunes has album art (9500 tracks) and Ross’ stuff does have artist/track name which is just enough

BB – yes, some of my CDs i’m not terribly proud of but they represent some point in my life.

noteeth – HoG was at the sanctuary and then subway city i think. i’d have been scared of my missus the state she was back then

oh and the playlist i use excludes any classical stuff, there’s plenty of that too

I was also into trance as much as techno and even DnB on occasion (though an eventful night out clubbing in Manchester put off that for a bit). Think I was happiest in a field really.
