off to dalby for a quick blast on friday pm; forestry website says the black route is shut, we will not have time for a full red… does anyone have a link to a map of the trails so we can plan our own?

Go up straight past the Go Ape place until you pick up the green route & then the red

This'll put you onto the 2nd half of the route

You can get a free one at the visitor center, but its real easy to
follow the red, so if you dont want to do the whole lot, you can go from the main visitors center car park up as far as Dixons Hollow jump park.
Just cross the road from Dixons Hollow Jump park, but when you come to where the trailhead restarts dont follow it, look to your right, between you and the road is another little used trail. This winds along the edge of the road, and comes out on the road at a 90 degree bend where the toll booth is, cross the road and follow the fire road that is barried off, at the end turn right, after a few hundred meters you'll pick up the red again ( on right hand side) takes you back. You'll do about 2/3rds in total and the last bit is best IMO.

Isn't that the end of the black, but going the other way?

James – The Black (part of the world cup track) does emerge on this little trail, you'd see it meeting you on your left after a short diastance. The little trail I mean in an 'escape' that your going up the wrong way, it just goes on along the side of the road. 😉
