Provided you have a seat stay with sufficient diameter to accommodate a Reverb is it ok?

I ask this as I am truly addicted to them, and would like to put one on an xc bike, eg Cube Reaction carbon frame ht.

    Cheers

if the seat tube is the correct diameter and long enough then I don’t see why not.

Of course. Why not? As far as e frame is concerned, it’s just another seat post!

Yes, but with some oddball sizing of seat tubes you might be shimming them at your own risk. Anything from 30.9mm upwards will be possible.

No. The seat tube in the frame must be the right diameter. However, one will fit your Cube- you will need the 31.6mm model.

Hah, I replied with a ‘no’ too before reading the OP’s first line!

Think of yourself as a leader. In 5 years time, heaps of xc bikes will have lightweight dropper posts fitted.

    You need 3 things:
    Compatible seat tube diameter.
Enough exposed seat post to allow for the drop (190mm for the 125mm drop).
Enough space in the frame to insert the rest of the seat post.
