Had a few days camping, first since having the boys (with the boys) age 5,3 and 0.

Was all good but the boys behavior was appalling, mainly due to them sheepishly following a couple of new friends they met….

Hard to avoid them bumping into the same people at the campsite play area all the time, so what do you do, tell them they’re not allowed to play with them anymore ? Interesting when they say it in front of the parents etc…….

Not saying our lot are perfect, far from it but these new friends were happy to use fowl language etc etc

if you dont want your kids to play with them enforce that rule
if the parents ask explain
Dont expect them to take it well though.

1) Reprimand your own kids for their unacceptable behaviour, including timing them out (and therefore taking them out of play)
2)Eventually one of the new friends will upset them, take advantage of this to offer alternative entertainment for your kids

Tell the other parents that their children are a bunch of clucking ducks and that you have bantam-ed your flock from playing with them.

It’s an issue you shouldn’t duck. I bet the parents were swannning about without a care in the world.

If the kids can’t be pheasant with each other then pluck them out of the situation.

I see no issue with telling them they can’t play with them. If the parents find out, good.

When our kid sees other kids being naughty, we explain to her that they’re being a bit naughty and shouldn’t be doing what they are doing.

No idea if it works, still early days yet 🙂

Wren are you going to learn that there’s a poultry amount you can do, other than keep an eagle eye out for any more instances.

stop cocking about, quack on and tell them to duck off. Go to the bar and have some wild turkey.

Tell your little ducklings that they can’t play with them any moor, hens they won’t pick up any further bad habits. It might ruffle a few feathers, but to make an omelette you gotta break a few eggs. You don’t want them robin your kids of their innocence.
