    Experiences/observations of those who’ve tried both appreciated

    observations;

    if you either race CX or even ride them recreationally on bridleways etc then at some point you will rip off a rear mech.

    Mechanical Ultegra rear mech is £50.

    Di2 Ultegra rear mech is £132.

    Save your money on gears and get proper hydro brakes

    Considering alot of those types of bikes are now 1×10/11, electronic gears make no sense at all.

    Totally agree with ^

    Force cx1 is great unless you can build a Di2 ultegra xt hybrid.

    1×11 with sprint / blip buttons is my choice so I can shift easily while on the drops.

    Well that how I justifed it and it’s ace.

    Just set up di2 so one side is up and the other down much like etap

    The amount of mechs that get ripped off in cross races I’d stick with mechanical, 10 speed at that as they’re proper cheap

    Thanks all. Won’t be racing and have only ripped one mech off the CX bike in 8 years (touches wood, crosses digits)

    a Di2 ultegra xt hybrid

    This was the plan, so clutch rear mech and 10-42 whatever cassette.
