Looking for some cyclocross tubular wheels for winter cross disc only. So far these look a good option http://www.farsports.com/product/detail.php/id-292.html or
    http://www.farsports.com/product/detail.php/id-185.html

Not sure is 38mm depth or 30mm depth would be best for cyclcross in the winter?

Any other good options around? Was thinking of 28 spokes and sapim cxray spokes.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Rim depth between 30 and 38 not
Too much difference I’d day toss a coin. Deeper rims are meant to cut through gloop better. not used anything deeper than a reflex personally but carbon scares me for adding even more complication to the already difficult job if gluing cross tubs.

How heavy are you? I wouldn’t go below 32 for a cross wheel as if you’re racing they get a battering.

Gluong tubs to carbon does not pose any other complications compared to gluing on alloy rims. Done it so many time before.

I run 29er tubular carbon rims on one of my 29er bikes. They are 28 spoke rims laced up with sapim laser spokes. I do xc races on these and some general riding as well. Never been any problem got quite a few miles on them now. The rims seem very impact resistant, they have taken a few.

    So dont be scared.
