Any recommendations for maps to use when touring in France?

I have the fietsroute maps for my Garmin but would like a paper map to back it up.

Will be riding down the Atlantic coast from Roscoff to Bergerac.

    Cheers all,

I toured across France a couple of years ago, I bought a 1:200k Michelin road atlas and tore out the pages I needed. The details ok for road touring, just a bit vague getting through larger towns but nothing insurmountable.

Good online mapping here: http://m.geoportail.fr . Print out what you need and discard as you go.

Cheers chaps- I picked up the yellow michelin maps from Amazon for the departments we’ll be riding through.

Another tip is to use viewranger or even google maps. You can “download/cache” the areas you want just scrolling around when in the hotel with wifi. You can then access the maps and use the phone gps without the need for roaming data.

jambalaya- I have maps on the Garmin, and my phone battery won’t last that long…

I like to have paper on a tour. Can’t go wrong with paper.
