Mr TW and I have a weekend off together. We want to do something involving bikes and camping. No more than three hours travelling from Buckinghamshire. I’m not sure if we want DH/XC or possibly even a bike packing. Any interesting ideas? I need a plan or we will end up at FOD as usual.

Long Mynd is fantastic and great campsites all over, not sure about travel time though…

Drive to Derby. Do Pennine Cycleway to Hebden Bridge, camping overnight in Buxton. Get train from Hebden back to Derby.

Doing ,camp at Patterdale in 3 weeks time ,riding Helvellyn, next day Whiteless pike ,3rd day Nan Bield pass then home after food

Porlock. Pool bridge campsite(in the woods, fires ok) fill your boots with XC or road! Quantox on the way home.
