Anybody lost their job midway through a CTW hire agreement?
What did yo have to pay back (if any) and did you lose the tax benefit etc?

I would think you'll need to finish paying for it & I can't see how you could continue to get tax relief

I think you just pay off the balance out of your last pay (thus still getting a tax benefit out of it), or just hand the bike back.

You will lose the tax benefit on the outstanding balance plus you will have to pay the agreed residual value to transfer ownership.
    Sorry.

can you just walk away – the company owns the bike, after all?

Don't you sign a loan agreement?

if you buy it through cyclescheme, they charge 5% "admin fee" if you choose not to buy the bike at the end – but as above, you will need to reaply the outstanding balance of the loan, on which you wil not receive tax relief. You need to check very carefully though as they may not make so many deductions from your pay as to take you below the national minimum wage
