I know this is a bit naughty, but I know a few people who’ve managed to buy bike parts through cycle scheme. I want a set of wheels. Is there a cunning way to get round the rule that you have to buy a whole bike? Are there any slightly dodge shops who will write ‘bike’ on the quote, but supply some hope hoops instead?

Is it worth potentially getting caught defrauding the Inland Revenue for a pair of wheels?

oh yes, that’s precisely what I had in mind. Damn, foiled!

Or, I need some wheels for the 30 miles I do each day to get to work as my old ones are worn out, and I’d rather not pay tax on stuff I use for work.
