What a cracking day today for it. First duathlon I’ve done. Lots of tri boys and girls there, so my running times were poor, but I reckon I’ll be well up the field on the bike. Great organisation from VLA Events as ever. If you’ve fancied doing a triathlon but are rubbish at swimming like me, this event’s worth a go.

Makes all the mind-numbing gym-time running on a treadmill worthwhile.

It was quite good wasn’t it! I’d been thinking of doing one of these for a while and this one looked like a good one to start off on. I was amazed I finished 19th! I think I might have a go at this next. Kielder duathlon
